[He's not sure how that happened at all but OH LOOK a Dimitri arm is leaving the blanket nest and reaching for the hat but he stops and pauses.]

[Oh, oh okay that's a thing that's happening. He blinks slowly at the hand reaching for him, not... entirely sure what's going on.

But he does pause and try to think through the whole situation logically. And is quietly removing his hat again and just tossing it a bit away to somewhere probably safe for later.]

[Getting the permission to touch he actually sit ups on the bed. Progress! He's still wrapped in the blankets but he did scoot closer to Hol and is very gently letting his thumb trace over the mark on his head.]

Curious...You said a wound like this could prove fatal yet you are here before me. How did you survive such a wound?

[Unfortunately he can't stop himself from flinching somewhat as he moves his hand to touch, it has nothing to do with Dimitri and everything to do with himself. Though he seems to settle once he's actually touching it, a soft huff of breath he hadn't realized he was holding finally allowed.

Dumb luck. The skull's a lot... stronger than most people might think and it wasn't a direct or purposeful shot on my part. Just a... fuck up, mostly. That and I can unsummon the bullets the same I do with the gun, but it'd already done damage by the time I'd realized what happened.

[He doesn't miss the way Hol flinches and with the story he has a feeling it's not his touch but the fact it's touched anyway that is bothering him. He wouldn't have allowed Dimitri to touch him at all if he had a problem with him. Still he doesn't touch the mark much more, instead cupping his chin.]

[He's getting... better about it being touched or acknowledged, but it'll probably still take some time for him to be completely okay with it all. What he doesn't expect is his chin being cupped and actually looks a bit surprised by it.

Hey, it... was enough to get me to cut the shit and retire from the whole business. Got out better than most. [He'd thought he'd only retire from the mercenary life or, really, working for Dio once he was dead. The irony isn't lost on him that he's technically dead here, but that's certainly not at the forefront of his mind.]

Got it in one. For the right price I was usually the assassin. Or whatever the hell someone wanted, but most of the time it was a simple assassination. [There's nothing simple about that, but it's all business to him. Or, well, was.]

[He then realizes he's been holding him this whole time so he pulls away and hides arm un the blanket burrito he's become. He doesn't lay back down but he is sitting there with Hol.]

"Handsome" generally ain't a word most use for me, yeah. [Unless you're talking about the women he's talked circles around and was able to use for whatever he wanted. But that is not something he's counting in this particular moment. For the best, he's trying to forget that particular fact.

Sure was, usually most don't give a shit about this kind of thing. Or, if they do, it's just so they know how to not get destroyed by it. [As if he ever tells the full truth if he knows it's someone he might have to deal with later.] I doubt it helps, but while pretty much all guns are about that powerful, being that accurate sure ain't. I control every aspect of it to a certain distance, but even with regular guns I got... better aim than most.

I was busy being Heir apparent while my uncle ruled my kingdom and tried to murder me before I could take the throne. He did not succeed. [Did that mean he had to kill his uncle? Damn right he did, in front of a crowd of roaring applause he beheaded him.]

I've always been fascinated with weapons from a young age. Where I come from it's even customary to give a loved one a dagger as a form of a proposal or just as a promise to another. Perhaps another gun may not distress me as much as yours does but I fear how many innocents can fall to such a weapon. [That blush is still there but fading as he thinks of darker things.]

[He frowns for a moment and pulls the blankets closer around himself and lays on his back. His weighted blanket is on top of him and yes with that and the other blankets he is a little warm but he's not taking them off anytime soon.]

You are one of the few not from my world to find the custom endearing. Others find it strange to give a weapon as a betrothal present. Some from my own world and kingdom even find it antiquated. I've always found it romantic...

I have been like this for a little while now. I am unsure of the time as Loog is not here right now.

Ah, right. [Look, he's mostly shrugging it off because kings aren't really a thing anymore where he's from. And he doubts it matters here to begin with, unless he specifically wants to taunt him with it or be a brat. [Now, Hol never claimed to be anything other than weird. He knows full well he's not really normal by any definition of the word. He shrugs and leans back some, just observing him under all those ridiculous blankets.] Now, I'm not the person to be basing anything "normal" on, as a heads up. But it's far more practical of a gift than some jewelry that's either gonna get lost, get broken, or lose all meaning when it just sort of exists. Shit, at least with a weapon you can defend yourself or do something with it. Makes a hell of a statement piece in my places, too.

Staying under blankets like that and laying down for a long time ain't gonna help anyone, I hope you know that. Gotta at least move a little bit every hour or so. And I'd say it's been a little bit since I found my way out here, so you're probably due some movement.

I was hot under the blankets so I undressed...I wasn't expecting a visitor or I would have had something on.[Ah yes, make it sound like it's Hol's fault he is naked under there. How naked is he? Butt naked.]

Ah... God, that's gotta suck. I can't imagine. [Says the man who was purposefully staying away from everything and was one hundred percent sure he'd die alone. Which, well, he kind of did when he thinks about it for longer than two seconds.

A snort escapes from him as he's blaming him for being naked. Sure, as if he'd bothered to put on and then take off clothes between that video and when he got here. He believes absolutely none of that.]

I can think of a few things, dressed or undressed. [Give him a second as his brain puts together what his mouth just said and is immediately pressing his palm to his face with a groan.] Ignore that, goddamn.

[Whatever he thought Hol might say, saying something so obviously horny and than condemning himself for it wasn't that. It's almost so comical that he can't help but start chuckling a little. It's actually nice to laugh given what he's been through today and in his slight mirth he rolls to the side of the bed and stands up, blankets still around him.]

[He goes to his closet still blanket bound and reaches out an arm to pick something to put on.]

[And once he sees Hol turn at that he lets the blankets fall, a thumb of heavy fabric hitting the floor. How much weight was that on him? A lot. And there is Dimitri in the nude as he grabs some sweatpants and pulls them on, tightening them against his slim waist. He grabs a plain blue shirt as well and pulls that over his head also quickly. Are those sweatpants hanging on his hops and not really hiding the bulge he has in his pants? You bet.]
