[In one of the fields, Ashe waits quietly, kneeling to admire the flowers. Clinging to his shoulder is his DTF, as it groans curiously at the blooms. They're simple ones, not at all the flowers he'd seen in the Hunter's Nightmare or Dream. In a way, that's actually nice and reassuring of what they are. Just flowers.

He picks one, holding it to the Messenger.]

Here. Let's press that one, okay? Hold onto it for me for now.

[By the time Dimitri makes his way to meadows filled with flowers, it is just past golden hour. The sky a lovely shade of pinks, blues and lavenders. It's not yet sundown completely and still has hints of golden yellow to shine. The flowers almost seem to glow in the light, looking even more beautiful in the light. It isn't only the flowers that seem to glow and appear lovelier in the light. Ashe is there surrounded by the flowers and the darkening sky, the way his silvery hair seems to shine like starlight. It's something Dimitri's always thought so lovely of Ashe, how precious the man actually is.

Dimitri doesn't dare disturb him with his presence just yet, taking a moment to watch him. He looks so much like the doe-eyed freckled knight from his time, the very one he had kissed a year ago but he sees this is someone else entirely. There is a similar softness to this Ashe's face but also a harshness that could only be obtained from living a harsh life, one Dimitri understands. There is a sadness to him.

He stands still for a moment before walking over to the man, slowly. He's mindful of the flowers as he walks until a blue one catches his eye. Had he been Dedue he might know what flower this is but as himself he does not. Dimitri plucks it, walking it over to Ashe in his quiet gait before placing it behind his ear.]
