( while Dimitri was asleep, it seems that a sneaky dragon has delivered a bunch of gifts to him like santa claus-! what will he find?! waiting for the king in the kitchen of his cabin is a beautifully wrapped hamper containing a plushie of a big cuddly lion boi that heats up when cuddled, a birthday card featuring flowers from his garden - and finally, the showstopper gift.
Corrin requested something very special for Dimitri from the peacekeeper. it's something he'll have to solve a riddle to find! there is a hamper filled with wheels of many flavours of cheese, and on a piece of card reads the following: )
Happy birthday, Dimitri! On your special day, you'll receive a gift: Me! So, what do you say?
I will be your friend, if you would so please. And in exchange I will give you the finest of cheese. Or milk for your tea, whatever you dream, Whether cake, or brownies, or tasty ice cream.
My guarantee to you, is whatever you eat, Will taste hearty, bold, savoury or sweet. I hope you enjoy this present to you. Now come outside, Dimitri! I'm dying to meet you!
( and when Dimitri steps outside, he'll see .... a cow!!!! she has a big ribbon and bell wrapped around her neck!! the amenities for caring for her like brushes and such can be found in a bucket by the gate. Corrin will have explained in Dimitri's birthday card that she is a special cow, who produces dairy that Dimitri can taste very intensely and wonderfully, since he knows that the king struggles with his sense of taste. he now has access to dairy any time he wants, and a cute pet cow to snuggle on top of that!
Corrin will be excited to see his reaction, oh yes he will! )
[It was of course rare that Dimiitri did sleep and after all that had happened he needed the rest. When he woke up and went to the kitchen to get his morning tea (even if it was afternoon by then) he saw some presents and a note. The note he reads first before touching anything else. Before he can go outside however he does open one of the cheese wheels and sneaks a bite. The taste isn't really there but the texture is divine and he takes a bit more.
Picking up the Lion plush next he holds it close to his chest. It's soft, very soft and so he keeps it there as he takes the note and another bite of cheese (he loves it) and heads to his door.
Of all the things he expected to see, Corrin and a tiny cow were not them. The cow is still young and clearly unbothered by the cold with all her hair and their Corrin in with no shoes in the snow once more. Being a dragon must really help with not getting frostbite. He's a little envious but he smiles nonetheless as he walks out and over to Corrin, a wide smile on his face.]
Of course! I hope it's enough. I did struggle quite a bit deciding what to get you, and ... I hope this isn't too strange, heheh.
( cows aren't exactly a conventional gift for a King, but ... Dimitri sure loves his cheese. Dimitri's cow gives a happy "moo!" when she sees him, which makes Corrin smile. )
Ooh, I'm not all that good with names ... ( he joins Dimitri in petting her, because she's so soft! and seems to love the attention. )
How about I name a few, and see if you like them? The first things that come to my mind are like, um ... Summer, Daisy, Mooriel ... ( yes, that's definitely the name 'Muriel' pronounced with a 'moo'! )
[Those names get a chuckle out of Dimitri that he doesn't bother hiding as his whole demeaner seems lighter.]
Moooriel? Oh Corrin you are too cute. I don't think I could ever say her name with a straight face. [He bends down to the cows height and looks at her as he rubs her face.]
What do you think of that name? Shall we call you Mooriel?
I-I know, it's kind of dumb but ... also a little bit clever? I dunno. I was never the best at naming things in my army. ( this is the same man who named a gemstone 'reckless reckreck'. he may be a wordsmith who enjoys poems and stories, but names? he's pretty bad at. ) I've thought of worse names before.
